Functional
Dry Needling
Functional Dry Needling at NeoLife uses a thin filiform needle to release myofascial trigger points, restore muscle function, and reduce referred pain. Unlike acupuncture, dry needling is rooted in Western neuroscience and anatomy. At NeoLife it is always integrated with manual therapy and exercise as part of a comprehensive plan. Patients commonly report significant relief after just one to three sessions. Available at all four Gulf Coast locations

Cardiovascular Rehabilitation
Cardiovascular Rehabilitation also called cardiac rehab, is a medically supervised program for people who have had a heart attack, heart failure, heart valve surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting, or percutaneous coronary intervention.

Exercise
Activity
Exercise Activity requiring physical effort, carried out specially to sustain or improve health and fitness.

Health & Lifestyle Consultant/Coaching
Health & Lifestyle Consultant/Coaching Wellness coaching is a process that facilitates healthy, sustainable behavior change by challenging a client to develop their inner wisdom, identify their values, and transform their goals into action.

Vestibular (Inner ear) Rehabilitation
Vestibular rehabilitation at NeoLife is a specialized program for patients experiencing dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, or unsteadiness caused by inner ear dysfunction. Our therapists are trained in evidence-based vestibular assessment and treatment, including canalith repositioning procedures for BPPV — the most common cause of sudden intense vertigo. Most patients see dramatic improvement within just a few targeted sessions. If you're experiencing room-spinning vertigo, chronic dizziness, or fear of falling, a vestibular evaluation at NeoLife can identify the cause and get you on a path to recovery quickly.

Therapeutic
Modalities
Modalities is a type of electrical, thermal or mechanical energy that causes physiological changes. It is used to relieve pain, improve circulation, decrease swelling, reduce muscle spasm, and deliver medication in conjunction with other procedures.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Post-surgical rehabilitation at NeoLife is a structured, progression-based program designed to restore full strength, range of motion, and functional capacity after orthopedic surgery. Whether you've had ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, total knee or hip replacement, or spinal surgery — our therapists work directly with your surgeon's protocol to ensure safe, efficient recovery. Our one-on-one model means your therapist is with you every minute of every session, no tech handoffs, no shared treatment time.

Chronic Pain Management
Chronic pain affects every aspect of life — work, sleep, relationships, and mental health. At NeoLife, we treat chronic pain as a complex neuromuscular problem, not just a symptom to be managed. Our approach combines hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, movement retraining, and patient education to address the underlying drivers of persistent pain rather than simply masking it. Many of our chronic pain patients have seen multiple providers without lasting relief. We build a real plan — not a generic protocol.

Balance and Fall Prevention
Balance and fall prevention at NeoLife is a structured program for older adults, post-surgical patients, and anyone experiencing unsteadiness or a history of falls. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death in adults over 65 — and the majority are preventable with proper intervention. Our therapists conduct a comprehensive balance assessment to identify specific deficits in strength, proprioception, vestibular function, and visual integration, then build a targeted program to address those exact deficits. The goal is restoring confidence, independence, and quality of life.

Joint
Mobilization
Joint mobilization is a cornerstone of NeoLife's manual therapy approach. Our therapists apply precise, graded passive movements to restricted or painful joints — spine, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, wrist — to restore normal mechanics, reduce pain, and improve mobility. Spinal mobilization is one of our most commonly used interventions and has strong evidence supporting its effectiveness for neck pain, low back pain, and headaches. Every technique is selected based on your individual presentation, not a one-size-fits-all protocol..

Cupping
Therapy
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Passive Range of Motion
Passive Range of Motion is where the therapist moves the joint through the range of motion with no effort from the patient.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
Soft Tissue
Massage
Myofascial
Release
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is a set of stretching techniques commonly used in clinical environments to enhance both active and passive range of motion in order to improve motor performance and aid rehabilitation.
Soft Tissue Massage involves direct physical action on the muscle and other soft tissues of your body. Soft tissue techniques such massage targets your muscles, tendons, ligaments, or other connective tissue such as fascia. Massage is the best-known example of a soft tissue technique.
Myofascial release at NeoLife targets the fascial system — the connective tissue network surrounding every muscle, bone, nerve, and organ in your body. When fascia becomes restricted due to injury, surgery, chronic posture, or inflammation, it creates widespread tension patterns that cause pain far from the original injury site. Our therapists apply sustained hands-on pressure to release fascial restrictions and restore normal tissue mobility. Particularly effective for fibromyalgia, chronic low back pain, whiplash, and post-surgical scarring.

Neuro-developmental Therapy
Neuro-developmental Therapy is a holistic and interdisciplinary clinical practice model informed by current and evolving research that emphasizes individualized therapeutic handling based on movement analysis for habilitation and rehabilitation of individuals with neurological pathophysiology.

Hyper
Volt
Hyper Volt percussion cordless massager is used to break down fascial adhesions, reduce muscle spasms, joint stiffness, and muscle tightness.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization uses specially designed clinical instruments to detect and treat restrictions in soft tissue including muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, and scar tissue. At NeoLife, our therapists use IASTM to break down fascial adhesions, improve tissue extensibility, and accelerate healing in chronic and post-surgical conditions. Particularly effective for tendinopathies, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and dense scar tissue. Always integrated with a comprehensive rehabilitation plan, never used in isolation.

Gua
Sha
Gua Sha meaning “scraping sha-bruises”, is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising. Practitioners believe gua sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing.

Traction
Therapy
Traction is a common nonsurgical treatment for a herniated disc in the neck or back that relieves pain by opening the cervical foramen to reduce pressure on compressed nerve roots exiting the spinal canal.

TENS
Therapy
TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) unit is a device that sends small electrical currents to targeted body parts. These currents are used to relieve pain.

Electric Stimulation or Electromyostimulation
Electric Stimulation or Electromyostimulation is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses. The impulses mimic the action potential coming from the central nervous system, causing the muscles to contract.

Therapeutic
Ultrasound
Therapeutic Ultrasound is a treatment modality commonly used in physical therapy. It is used to provide deep heating to soft tissues in the body. These include muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments.

Paraffin
Wax
Paraffin Wax has been shown to treat conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia among others. A wax treatment acts as a type of thermotherapy, or heat therapy, that helps treat these conditions by increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles and reducing stiffness in joints.

Cryotherapy is the use of extremely low temperatures to treat symptoms such as tissue damage (it’s excellent for athletes), decrease inflammation, increase cell rejuvenation, improve skin tone and reduce signs of aging.

Heat Therapy is the use of moist heat to penetrate soft tissue, stimulate blood flow and warms the body’s tissues to increase comfort of therapeutic activities and aid in the healing process.

Kinesis/
McConnell Taping
Kinesis/ McConnell Taping gives support and stability to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation and range of motion. Kinesis Taping is a technique based on the body’s own natural healing process.
